So who is Garmin GPS and why are their GPS products so popular?

Garmin Ltd., the parent company of Garmin Int'l Inc., was founded in the late 1980's and was known as ProNav. In 2001 they changed their name to Garmin and Garmin Intl. has it's main US headquarters located in the greater Kansas City, Kansas metropolitan area. Their largest manufacturing facility is located in Taiwan and is identified as Garmin Asia Corporation. By the year 2000, Garmin's sales had surpassed $250 million US dollars. The two Garmin co-founders, whose names are Gary and Min, thus "Garmin", shared responsibilites for operating the company for several years. Today just one of the two co-founders, Min Kao is still with the company. In addition to the US and UK, They operate business in several counries including Belgium, Norway, Spain and Canada.
